What is held, why, and who to ask about it

What this covers

This is about the businesses that use evedeck, and about the people whose details they keep in it.

A business using evedeck decides what to keep about its own members, customers, suppliers and staff. We hold it for them and do nothing else with it. In the words of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, the business is the Data Fiduciary and we is the Data Processor.

What we hold about a business

The name of the business, its address, its phone number and its email, so that it can be reached and its website can be built.

Which plan it is on and when it was paid for.

Whatever it enters into the modules it switched on.

What we hold about you, if you only visit a website

Nothing. A business's public website counts one visit a day and records nothing about who visited - no cookie, no address, no device, no name.

If you send a message through the enquiry form on a business's website, that message goes to that business. It is theirs, not ours.

How long it is kept

While the business uses evedeck, and for as long afterwards as it asks. A business can erase everything itself, at any time, and nothing is kept back.

Who it is shared with

Nobody. It is not sold, not rented, not passed to an advertiser, and not used to sell anything to anybody.

It is not sent to another company for processing. Nothing on any evedeck screen is loaded from anybody else's machine.

Asking about your data

If a business keeps your details in evedeck, ask that business first - they decided to keep them and they can change or remove them.

If you would rather ask us, or want to complain about how data is handled, write to us through the form on the front page of this site and we will answer.

Three things we will not hold, ever

No Aadhaar number.

No uploaded identity document or scan of any paper.

No bank account number. A business records that it paid somebody; it does not record how.
